This blog serves as a memory catcher for the Smith family’s adventures in Australia. Our family consists of Husband/Father (MWH), Wife/Mother (MBW) and a beautiful 12 year old daughter (MBD). MWH accepted a long term assignment in Australia in order to have his family with him rather than on the other side of the world. He spent around 8 of the 12 months of 2011 in Oz while MBW and MBD were in Knoxville, TN. We want this blog to document our adventures, trials and tribulations as we learn to live in a drastically different culture with a language all its own! Come journey with us…..

As long as you will not start a boxing match with a kangoroo you will be Ok in that strange land I envy you! I always wanted to go there and to New Zealand but you characters at TVS kept me buzy all the time. Enjoy it!

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful treat to wake up to, a note from you! It is hard to believe I am in a country you have not visited. I always and will forever remember my TVS overseas trip with you, Mr. O and Mr. Kramer. That was the trip that ignited the adventurer in me. One of my favorite memories is seeing you in your homeland and meeting your incredible friends. Thank you so much for that experience! Hard to believe it was over 27 years ago.
